Real Solutions for Real Problems
Contamination remediation, deagglomeration, and remediation projects where the standard playbook didn't apply. Customer names withheld; the work speaks for itself.
Imported Polymer Contamination Remediation
Gaylords of material were rained on, then loaded into ocean containers for the trip from overseas to the United States. After a month as ship cargo, the corrugated box containers were dilapidated and decomposing. That left cardboard contamination in the finished product.

Impregnated extrudates were contaminated with non-impregnated extrudates at a 4% contamination rate. The contamination level rendered the product unusable. This product was very expensive and would've been a multi-million-dollar loss had it not be remediated. The only difference in the contamination was the color of the material which was the size of a grain of rice.

The challenge for this material was not known until the 2m pounds arrived stateside. It was found to be severely agglomerated which was not in the scope of work. Another unforeseen challenge was the vastly inconsistent weight of the supersack. This led to lot number discrepancies vs. the weights that were reported from the manufacturer.
